Bourbon Pecan Toffee in Gold Chocolate gets national recognition.

Belle Toffee, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., has won the 2020 bronze award in the chocolate candy category of the Specialty Food Association. Our winning product is our newest – Bourbon Pecan Toffee coated in Belgian Gold Chocolate.

The award is a top honor in the specialty food industry. Products are judged on taste, including flavor, appearance, texture and aroma, ingredient quality and innovation. All tastings are blind. Judging was held at the Rutgers Food Innovation Center in Bridgeton, N.J. Awards were announced Aug. 25, 2020.

Bourbon pecan toffee is a rich, crunchy, buttery delight made with Missouri pecans and Missouri bourbon. Each batch contains a pint of bourbon from STilL 630 in St. Louis, Mo. It is fully enrobed in a unique Belgian Chocolate: Belgian Gold. Belgian Gold chocolate is made with caramelized sugar and caramelized milk, giving it a soft and creamy texture with decadent notes of caramel and cream.
